Q: How do I rent a room with the LECRC?
A: If you want to rent a room for a function or party, go to this page to view our rooms for rent! Availability is listed under a brief room description and available floor space. Click the blue “Contact us” button to be brought to our page where you can find our contact information and the main office’s hours of operation, or submit a request to us directly through our website! Simply tell us your preferred date and room, what the function is for (We have packages for certain rental types for you!) and what time you would prefer. If you submit a request on the weekend, you will be contacted the following weekday.

Q: How do I pay for my rental once I have my invoice?
A: Once you have confirmed a date with us, you’ll be sent instructions with an email to send an e-transfer to, or you can come to the office during office hours (listed on our website) to pay in-person!

Q: My plans have changed and I need to cancel my rental. How do I do that?
A: If you need to cancel your rental for any reason, simply call the office, send us an email, or reply to the booking email you received! We can help you re-schedule, or refund you for your rental! The 25% booking deposit will be retained for rentals cancelled this way.

Q: What if weather or building closure cancels my rental?
A: For any cancellations made due to weather, power outages, or any work that goes on in the LECRC that would interrupt your time (Construction, maintenance, etc.), you have two options! You can request a refund for your time (in which the LECRC retains the 25% booking deposit), or request a time credit! Any time missed from your rental will be marked as credit, and can be applied on a future rental. For example: If you miss half of your 3-hour rental due to a power outage, 1.5 hours will be marked as credit, and can be applied to future rentals with us! If the centre is forced to close before your rental can even begin, the entire 3 hours can be applied as credit!

Q: I rented the gym for a birthday party, can we use the kitchen to store food/drink? What about using the stove and cooking?
A: So long as the kitchen isn’t in use at the same time as your rental, you can ask the front office to unlock the kitchen for access to the fridge and freezer to store your food! Use of the stove to cook large meals is not permitted unless you have also rented the kitchen for your function.

Q: Can we arrive early to our birthday party rental in order to set up?
A: With our Birthday Party Package, you will find it is listed as 3 hours. This is broken down as: half an hour for setup beginning at the listed starting time on your contract, 2 hours for the party itself, and then half an hour before your end time to clean up. If you need more time to set up, please contact the front office up to a week before your rental to see if there is any availability for additional setup/teardown time. You may be charged for additional time.

Q: Can I get my cleaning deposit back the same day as my rental?
A: If a staff member is present for the end of your rental, a cleaning check will be performed. If it is sufficiently cleaned, you will have your cleaning deposit returned to you! If a staff member is not present for the end of your rental, the cleaning check will be performed the next work day, and you will be contacted about your deposit!

Q: Are there tables and chairs available at the facility?
A: Yes! All rentals are permitted use of the chairs and tables, located within the equipment room in the gymnasium. We expect all chairs and tables to be neatly re-stacked (and wiped down, if need be!) at the end of your rental!
